The Council of Administration (Consad) of Santos Port Authority (SPA) elected, on Thursday (April 30th), Fernando Biral as effective CEO of the company. The appointment of the Ministry of Infrastructure (Minfra) was approved at an extraordinary meeting held by videoconference.

The Consad referendum makes the change that was interim since last Tuesday, after a request for dismissal by ex-president Casemiro Tércio Carvalho, who had been at the SPA since February 26, 2019. Biral has been with the Company since April 16 of the year past, when he took over the Administration and Finance Directory, a position he will accumulate until his successor is appointed by Minfra and endorsed by the collegiate body.

“We will fulfill our commitment with a focus on efficiency, professionalism and transparency. The project is robust and, with the operational and financial turnaround carried out in this first year, we have followed a large part of the path to win the trust of the investor and the community”, says the invested president.

Biral has a degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, with a specialization in Finance, being certified as CFA®️ Charterholder. He has experience as a director and financial advisor for several companies in his career that began in 1994. He worked in several enterprises in the financial sector and, as project director, he was responsible for more than 20 projects for companies such as Embratel, Petrobras, Banco do Brasil, Vale, Grupo Pão de Açúcar, Minerva Foods, Gafisa, among others. He is a teacher at FIA-USP, in the Latu Sensu postgraduate course, in the area of ​​Judicial Recovery.
